AI Maturity: AWS Roadmap for Strategic AI Adoption
Tech Race Summit · Warsaw · September 10, 2026
Most companies already use AI somewhere, and most are still stuck in pilots. Sergey Kurson opened with why AI maturity, not technology, separates the organizations that scale AI from the ones that do not.
My part: the model is not the bottleneck. Mature companies run an adoption practice instead of a pile of disconnected pilots. Of the six AI maturity dimensions only one is technical, and your maturity is the minimum across them, not the average, so Level 3 on all six beats Level 5 on one. Then four shifts that agentic AI forces (culture, governance, risk and organization, after Ishit Vachhrajani’s “From Automation to Agency”), the adoption loop with a business number agreed before the first line of code and a real go/no-go decision (a pilot without the right to say no is not an experiment, it is a subscription), and a prioritization matrix for what to do on Monday.
Co-presented with Sergey Kurson, Principal Solutions Architect at AWS, on Stage 1 (Vision Track) of the first Tech Race Summit by SOFTSWISS at Centrum Praskie Koneser, Warsaw.
